Overview

YSD-74 Seaplane Wrecking Derrick built in 1943. This vessel is in repairable condition. The craft is a non self-propelled seaplane wrecking derrick with nominal dimensions of 104 ft by 30 ft. It carries a ten ton revolving crane used for salvage of downed seaplanes in harbors. The craft has no berthing facilities. Steel hull and steel superstructure construction. Light displacement is 240 tons. The flooding alarm system will be removed by INACTSHIPMAINTO, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii prior to departure. The mooring lines and mooring wires will remain with the craft. Demilitarization Code "A" applies and demilitarization is not required.
