  • Oily water may have accumulated in the boat and must be properly disposed of by the successful bidder.
  • Any law enforcement or military equipment will be removed by the government prior to sale.
  • Lifting slings, rigging gear, and shackles may not be certified or serviceable.

Inspection and Removal

  • Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment.
  • Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description.
  • Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance.
  • Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchaser's receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal.
  • Inspection time is Tuesday through Thursday from 0800-1400.

  • Access to the boat requires base access and visitors must complete a visit request form and be escorted.

  • The Navy will provide crane service to place the boat on trailer or back in the water.
  • No work other than disposal of oily water may be accomplished prior to removal without express written consent of the contracting officer.
  • Successful bidders will be provided with a Purchaser's Receipt, a Bill of Sale, and a request for certification of build form to send to Naval Surface Warfare Center.
  • A quasi-title will be required from the original purchaser in the event the boat is resold.
