(1) Scrap metal collection. The item is classified in scrap condition. The lot includes various types of scrap metal located in two locations, with the possibility of additional scrap metal being added. The collection may contain ferrous, non-ferrous, steel, copper, and aluminum materials.

Condition & Markings

• This lot is in scrap condition. Parts are missing.
• The scrap metal is located in two separate locations and may include additional materials to be added.
• The successful bidder will be required to take all scrap metal and will not be permitted to sort, high grade, or leave any material behind.
• Multiple loads and site visits may be necessary for complete removal.
• Inspection is recommended to estimate quantities, weights, and types of base metals and nonferrous scrap.

Inspection and Removal

• Inspection and Removal: Available Monday through Friday, by confirmed appointment only. The site is closed on federal holidays. Contact the property custodian (listed below) to schedule an appointment.
• Property Inspection: Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the property prior to placing a bid to evaluate its condition and suitability. By bidding without an inspection, bidders assume the risk of potential omissions in the description.
• Removal Responsibilities: The successful bidder is solely responsible for all aspects of removal, including packing, crating, banding, loading, and shipping. The agency will not provide assistance.
• Authorized Third-Party Removal: The authorized third-party agent must present a Letter of Authorization from the high bidder (see terms and conditions for details), a copy of the purchaser's receipt, and a valid photo ID at the time of removal.
• Property can be viewed and picked up Monday through Friday, 7:00am-2:00pm with at least 24 hours prior notice required before access is granted.
• Government issued or state issued ID is required as the building site is federal property.
• Only the person identified on the transfer order, or their agent identified in writing will be allowed to pick up the property.
• Access to federal facilities may require a Real ID.
• Contact the custodian 24 hours in advance of picking up the property.
